a recording of Haydn on a 1790s piano, from 1928! the recording I mean obviously.
This was on the back of a 3 disc set of which I only had 2, so nearly didn't keep it but I'm glad I did! Wonderful, very different sounding instrument.

I love this and am delighted with the sound I got out of it, to me this is mid 30s hi fidelity! Marek Weber's orchestra play a selection from the chocolate soldier in I believe 1935.

I do love these selection records, especially early ones! Here's kissing time selection from 1919, played by the mayfair orchestra on hmv. This is a restored version, most of these will turn up as flat files on youtube.

Child Prodigy Max Darewski plays Chopin's waltz in A flat, op 34, in 1924 on zonophone, very nice record! I just did crackle removal.
Does anyone know what he actually died of? he was very young, 35 years old.
